Fleurs et Opulence - A Decadent Styled Shoot by Ana & Rhea Photo
Heya wedding lovers! Another sweet treat from the R&T Archives for you today.
I know many of you, just like me, are a fan of the Sophia Coppola film Marie Antoinette. I'm a sucker for a gorgeous period drama and what I loved about this film was how Coppola had interpreted the decadence and opulence of the time and given it a bit of a modern edge. The life of ill-fated French queen Marie Antoinette continues to inspire creative people all over the world, including the wonderful Wellington creatives I'm featuring today!
Here's what our elite wedding vendors had to say about this shoot and the inspiration behind it:
Marie Antoinette was a young, flamboyant girl who surrounded herself with lavish luxury.Marie’s materialistic indulgence was enhanced with soft fabrics, vibrant yet saturated tones, layering, florals, deconstructed textures and delectable high end sweets. Fleurs et opulence was created by Wellington’s elite wedding vendors.
Ever since my student days in Wellington when I used to visit her old Newtown boutique, Twig and Arrow has always been one of my FAVE Wellington florists. I love the wild and rambling look she has used in this shoot - beautiful full roses and lots of gorgeous greenery. The vintage vibe from Rue de Seine's vintage collection is perfectly sweet and it wouldn't be a Marie Antoinette shoot without CAKE! French cakes no less darling from Louis Sergeant.
I know you're going to love these perfectly pretty pictures from Ana & Rhea
Thanks once again to all the wonderful vendors that contributed to this photo shoot!
