Perla and Brian - An Autumn Elopement from Skinny Love Weddings

Howdy do, wedding lovers! Today's real wedding is sweet and simple from my gal pals at Skinny Love Weddings.

The Skinny Love team are famous for their "Pop Up Weddings", the easiest and chicest way to have a low cost wedding in style. They also do elopements - just you and your sweetheart running away into the sunset together, what could be more romantic? I'm sure plenty of couples in the middle of wedding planning have entertained the thought of eloping - and for those who start sweating at the thought of being the centre of attention in front of dozens of people, a simple elopement is a lovely way to avoid that problem. Elopements are also perfect when your family live too far away, or getting married just seems too expensive.

Today's elopement with Perla and Brian is absolutely gorgeous. Held in Bell House at Howick Historial Village, it was a perfect way to celebrate their love for one another. Stories By Bianca captured their beautiful day.

Here's a little more from the Skinny Love team:

Las Vegas is well know as the wedding capital of the world, but where do the locals go when they want their own runaway love? At Skinny Love Weddings, we LOVE an elopement, there’s just something super romantic about the intimacy of it all.  Naturally we were thrilled when Perla & Brian reached out to us to organising their own as an amazing finale to their recent travels down under.
Brian & Perla met almost twenty years ago in the 6th grade. We loved hearing how these two were the only saxophone players in band class and consequently sat next to each other for three years - Perla had no idea until quite later that Brian actually had had a little crush on her!
Fifteen years later their respective jobs would bring them together, and both admit it was a very nice surprise to see one another. For the next couple of years it was simple hellos at casual work encounters, as both were leading their own lives.
It wasn't until life dealt some unexpected blows that these two connected at a deeper level. They have become each other’s light and share a bond is a beautiful and precious… the only thing left to do was make it official!

A word from Skinny Love on their styling choices: If there’s two things we love, its fresh florals and a pops of metallic. Even though we’re dealing in the affordable wedding space, we take a lot of pride in the finer details for all our events. For the florals and cake, Brian & Perla were after a deep red and pale pink colour scheme, which is an awesome combo and we were more than happy to tie this in with the rest of the styling. Balloon garlands are all the rage right now - we loved creating our own, mixed with fresh flowers and foliage for their ceremony back drop.

Any advice for couples planning right now?  A lot of couples can feel pressured to plan a traditional wedding but at the end of the day, it’s about the two people getting married. If eloping is more your style, we say go for it!

Thanks to the wedding lovers at Skinny Love Weddings and Stories By Bianca for sharing these images! Congratulations to Perla and Brian xx
