Welcome to
Rosemary & Twine!

My name is Leah, it's great to have you here! I'm an event coordinator and wedding planner. I love to blog all about weddings and share tips on planning a beautiful and simple wedding.  Thanks for stopping by!

Taking Stock: April

Taking Stock: April

Ahoy there wedding lovers! In this new incarnation of Rosemary and Twine I want to push myself to be a bit more out there, and share a bit more of "me" on this blog!
I'd love to learn more about you dear reader! Let me know in the comments if you ever take stock and link me to your post if you're a bloggy type :)

I need practice at thinking and talking about myself in these sorts of ways, so here goes:

Making : A fresh new start! It feels really good
Cooking: Who knows?! I need to make a meal plan for this week! Task for today.
Drinking: Coffee. I always have a cup of plunger coffee first thing in the morning
Reading: "Twenty One Elephants" a book I helped fund on Kickstarter. Looking forward to some uncomfortable home truths in this one!
Trawling: Through all my photos from former blog posts, which real weddings will go back up?
Wanting: More wedding submissions! (hint!)
Looking: up! There's blue sky today, what a treat!
Deciding: Where my blog is going to go in it's new form!
Wishing: For beautiful weather and happy times on our trip next weekend
Enjoying: The rest time I've been lucky to have over the long weekend. I've kind of been forced to do nothing but it's been just what I've needed after all.
Waiting: To get a dog. We sort of really would like one, but it's a big step!
Liking: My new blog theme and set up - it feels like the breath of fresh air I needed!
Wondering: How cold it's going to get in the South Island in the next couple of weeks? We're going camping!
Needing: To get up and active. I've spent way too much time on the couch! (she says, sitting on the couch)
Loving: Matt. And all the dogs we see at the park
Pondering: The things we do at Easter, how ancient the story is, how it still moves people today.
Listening: To the Coachella livestream, Matt goes through a love/hate thing with it but the music is really good!
Considering: Which new exercise courses I want to take next term. Bellydancing is starting in August!
Buying: A cardigan and probably tights for my cousin's wedding next weekend. It's getting a bit cold!
Watching: Downton Abbey! It's been my companion all Easter weekend. I'm only up to Season 3 so don't spoil anything!
Hoping:
Marvelling: At how nice and quiet Auckland is when everyone leaves to go on holiday. Hooray for school holiday traffic!
Cringing: At losing all my content from the last 18 months! Dumb move!
Needing: To make a decision about getting a new phone, so I can get back on Instagram!
Questioning: Why do I always miss the phones when they're on special??
Smelling: Freshly brewed coffee. Yum!
Wearing: Maxi dresses and chambray shirts. You just gotta be comfy on a long weekend.
Thinking: About all the boys who died in WW1 - my own family and their experiences in WW1. Downton Abbey made me think about these things
Admiring: Malala Yousafzai. She's my hero, and her speech at the Canadian parliament recently was 100% slay.
Getting: Excited about my trip to the South Island next week. I keep saying to Matt: "this time next week, we'll be in..."
Bookmarking: "10 Tips for Getting Back Into Blogging" by Jessica Slaughter. A tips post with actually really useful ideas I hadn't thought of!
Disliking: How messy my house gets when I'm actually here all the time!
Opening: A fresh new pack of Cafe L'affare coffee. So good!
Closing: "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" book I bought for $1 at the op shop. Fun little easy read!
Feeling: Super overwhelmed at beginning my blog again, but very hopeful as well
Hearing: The hum of the laptop and cars on the road passing by, a lovely quiet Easter Monday morning!
Celebrating: Easter! Matt and I have been getting closer to the older traditions of Easter and it's been a really nice time
Pretending: That Summer is still here when it's most definitely Autumn now guys
Embracing: Where I am at the moment, being at the beginning
