All the Best Council and Community Halls in Auckland

All the Best Council and Community Halls in Auckland

Oh hey there, wedding lovers! I've got a very very excellent treat for you today. I have taken to scouring the Auckland Council website for the best council and church halls in the fair city of Auckland! That's right, I've picked the best of the best for your venue hunting pleasure, right here in one place!

If you're anything like me, your idea of the perfect hall is beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, neutral or white walls and ideally some sort of bar across the roof from which garlands, festoon lights etc. can be hung. Some of these halls even have great big windows letting in lots of natural light, and a couple even have some fantastic ornate ceilings!

Best of all, these halls are council, church or community owned. That means they're an affordable option for your wedding or reception. With prices ranging from $30 to $75 per hour for a Saturday night hire they're perfect for couples on a small budget.

Almost all of these halls have a kitchen attached - most rates include use of the kitchen facilities (yay!) but not all so make sure you do check up on that. Most of them will also allow you to bring in a caterer of your choice or even to do the food yourself.

If you love one of these beautiful local halls, you can click on the link to find out more information and how to book! The sad thing is there aren't many photos available, this is literally the best I could do for you babes! If I could, I would go around every one of these halls, set them up all fancy and get some beautiful pictures. Sadly I can't do that, so if you think a hall has got great potential, make sure you get yourself an appointment and head down to see it in person - if you're lucky it may be even better in real life!

These are in no particular order, I just rummaged through my bookmarks and this is how they came out! Loosely organised by region of course.

Central Auckland

North Shore

Waiheke Island

West Auckland

South and East Auckland

So many gorgeous options. I can just imagine some fabulous rustic wedding set ups in these halls. If you are getting married in one of these, let me know! I'd love to see what you do with the place.

Do you know of a smashing Auckland hall that I've missed off this list, let me know by leaving a comment. Also, let me know which town you want to see next!
